Yum. I make this in several sittings through the day since the dough needs to rise. I also freeze them for later consumption.
Ingredients
- [Custard] 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 20g sugar
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tbsp cake flour or all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- [Dough] 250g (2 cups) bread flour
- 50g (1/3 cup) cake flour
- 6g sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 80g (1/3 cup) cold water
- 80g (1/3 cup) cold milk
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into 4-6 small pieces
